About Us - established 1958

Our Neighborhood

Shady Acres is a quiet residential community located on Lake Lyndon Baines Johnson, Lake LBJ, in the beautiful Hill Country of Central Texas. Shady Acres is in an unincorporated area of Burnet County but is not in the cities of Granite Shoals, Marble Falls or Highland Haven. Although our mailing address is Marble Falls, we are located between Marble Falls and Kingsland. Previously our entrance was known as Post Oak Road but now it is officially County Road 131. Shady Acres has both full-time and weekend residents. There are 194 lots with approximately 86 homes. Many residents have been here over 30 years! There are 2 waterfront common areas as well as 2 boat launches for residents.

OUR WATERWAYS

The Speed limit on our canals both Station Creek and Little Station Creek and any adjoining canals are a NO WAKE ZONE approx. 5 mph.

NEIGHBORHOOD BOAT LAUNCH

Boat launches are for the residents of Shady Acres only.  One is located in the park at Elm and Hackberry.  This one has a drop off (ledge) so is generally better for shorter axle trailers.

The second boat launch has a longer ramp and is more suited for the longer boats. It is located at the end of Oleander Road on the easement on Mr. Cliff Wolf's property.   If you do not have the code to unlock the padlock  the combination information is located in the property owners only section.
