Shady Acres is a quiet residential community located on Lake LBJ in the beautiful Hill Country of Central Texas with both full time and weekend residents. There are 194 lots (4.5 which are located in Highland Haven.) with approximately 85 homes in our neighborhood. Many residents have been here OVER 30 Years!
2 waterfront common areas for the use of our residents as well as 2 boat launches
Shady Acres is located in Unincorporated Burnet County.
We are not in the cities of Granite Shoals, Marble Falls or Highland Haven.
Although our mailing address is Marble Falls.
We are located between Marble Falls and Kingsland just a short 7.5 miles west of Hwy 281 & Hwy 1431 . Previously our entrance was Post Oak Rd and now is officially CR 131.
Shady Acres is located in the ETJ (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction) of Granite Shoals.
ETJ's can be of a concern as they relate to annexation by neighboring cities. Recently the signing of HB 347 gave our community a voice in these matters.
Many thanks to one of our local residents Pam McGregor for all her efforts in keeping us informed and proactive in having our voices heard on this issue.
The Speed limit on our canals both Station Creek and Little Station Creek and any adjoining canals are a NO WAKE ZONE approx. 5 mph.
Boat launches are for the residents of Shady Acres only. One is located in the park at Elm and Hackberry. This one has a drop off (ledge) so is generally better for shorter axle trailers.
The second boat launch has a longer ramp and is more suited for the longer boats. It is located at the end of Oleander Road on the easement on Mr. Cliff Wolf's property. If you do not have the code to unlock the padlock the combination information is located in the property owners only section.
