Shady Acres entry way facelift
After a long time of looking at rubble, we now have a brand new entry way on 1431. It features a new column on the east side (Granite Shoals side) that has Shady Acres etched in marble. Another column on the west side (Kingsland side) features a 21' light standard with a high powered solar light at the top. All of this thanks to Linda Tyler, our POA board member and Beautification Committee chair, Linda's Beautification Committee members, and Tony Sanchez, our contractor, who has always done great work in the subdivision. A big thank you to all of those involved. A landscaping effort will be added as a final item this fall in a desert style or minimum water required treatment. The new light is highly visible at the entryway and for quite a ways in each direction on 1431. Good work, Linda and Tony.

Dispose of all trash in an appropriate container and be sure to inform all of your contractors to do the same.

Burnet County does not have a leash law HOWEVER, dog(s) must be kept securely on owners property OR the owner must maintain control of the dog(s) at all times.

Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Please take the time to assess your property and make sure that you are in compliance with Shady Acres POA covenants.
Your property area should be free of trash and junk and anything that is unsightly. The grass should be kept mowed not only for aesthetic reasons but to prevent hiding places for rats and snakes. The value of our properties have escalated in the last few years and we don’t want to bring the value down by getting a reputation of a junk or trashy community.
At the request of the POA Board, the Beautification & Improvement Committee will continue making recommendations as to properties which need a “facelift”. So, please take this time to hide what’s unsightly perhaps behind a hedge row or a fence, and mow and clean up any trash that is visible from view, either from the street or lake.
